Impact

Parvathamma hails From Bijapur. Her husband set her on fire after the birth of their second child. The severe burns took away mobility from both arms and she had been unable to straighten them since.
In the 2018 camp, 3 Plastic surgeons together operated on her for 3 hours to perform multiple skin grafts and she gained back mobility on both arms 3 days from surgery.

She now works in a local school as a helper and is raising her 2 children independently
— Parvathamma, Vijayapur, Karnataka
(travelled 600 km for the camp)

Karbasappa is a 16 year old from Gulbarga . At the age of 10, he faced severe burns all over his back and legs due to hot water. This left him bent at the waist and he dropped out of school.

Over 3 successive annual camps, Karbasaapa was operated on for a total of 5 grafts. He is now able to stand tall and walk without issues. He has rejoined school
